Mineral Sunscreen
A self-directed exercise in inventing a sunscreen brand from scratch — packaging, ads for Thai/Korean marketplaces, and a short motion spot.
What it is
A fake sunscreen brand, end to end. The goal was to test whether I could carry a single visual idea from product packaging through to motion graphics, ad creative for Lazada, Shopee, and Coupang, and still have it feel coherent.
Brand thinking
Mineral, not chemical — that single word drives everything. The packaging avoids the typical “fresh aquatic” sunscreen visual language (gradient blues, water droplets, a sun icon) in favor of mineral textures, earth-toned ink, and a strict typographic system. It looks more like a craft skincare brand than a generic sunscreen.
Marketplace ads
Each marketplace has slightly different conventions — Lazada’s hot-pink storefronts, Coupang’s denser layouts. I designed three ad templates that could flex to each context without losing the core look.
Motion
A short product spot — about 12 seconds — to be cut down further for paid social. Mostly type-driven with the bottle as the anchor.
